Our responsibility and contribution to a more sustainable world
"Credibility and transparency are fundamental pillars of our philosophy and our goal is for the products we manufacture to be a sustainable choice. Sustainability is the core of everything we do, from design and material selection to production and delivery to the customer. We take great pride in producing in our own factory and continuously strive to expand our in-house production."
Our philosophy is to be the most sustainable within our genre. We work towards four overarching sustainability goals that were developed in collaboration with Almi. Our main goals are based on both Agenda 2030 and ISO 26000. Our overarching goals, directly linked to our production and value chain, are connected to the 17 global goals and the 169 targets for sustainable development outlined in Agenda 2030.
Climate calculations
We believe that a crucial parameter for implement real change is knowing the climate impact of our company. Since 2021, Sätila has been conducting climate calculations to assess our operations. Our ambition is to include as much as possible within Scopes 1, 2, and 3 of upstream activities for our business. We involve partners and suppliers so that everyone can contribute to reducing climate impact. Our goals are aligned with the Paris Agreement, aiming to halve our carbon dioxide emissions by 2030.
Our priority areas for future impact include:
- Implementing energy-saving measures in our factory.
- Reducing our transportation emissions.
- Choosing materials with minimal impact and long lifespan.
Swedish Society for Nature Conservation
For many years, we have been members of the Swedish Society for Nature Conservation and support their work and projects both as a member company and through annual donations. Swedish Society for Nature Conservation is Sweden's largest environmental organization and a movement that cares for nature. Code of conduct
As a manufacturing company in Sweden, we maintain a high level of social sustainability. For many years, we have been operating according to our Code of Conduct, which is based on UN guidelines and internationally recognized standards. We require our partners to uphold the same high level of ethical standards, and signing the Code of Conduct is a prerequisite for starting a collaboration with us.
