ABOUT SÄTILA

Sätila is a Swedish outdoor lifestyle brand with roots dating back to 1896. For more than 130 years, we have operated from the same location in Sätila, Sweden, where our office, warehouse and factory remain under one roof. The company is still owned by the founding family, with the third generation serving as the majority owner today – a continuity that reflects the long-term perspective shaping both our business and our brand.

More than 90% of our products are knitted in our own factory, making us one of the few remaining brands in our category with substantial production still based in Sweden. Around 25% of our products are manufactured entirely in-house, from knitting and sewing to finishing. 

While our roots are firmly planted in the outdoor world, we operate at the intersection of functionality, quality and lifestyle. By closely following developments in both outdoor and lifestyle markets, we create products that remain relevant over time – on the trail, in the mountains and in everyday life.

For more than a century, we have built exceptional expertise in knitwear craftsmanship, knitting techniques, material selection and product development. Together with our in-house design team, a rich archive of patterns and designs, and generations of accumulated knowledge, this forms a unique foundation for creating products of lasting quality. By combining traditional craftsmanship with contemporary innovation, we develop products that respect our heritage while meeting the needs of today and the opportunities of tomorrow.

Every day, a child is diagnosed with cancer. 88% of children survive, but 12% do not. Despite successful research, childhood cancer remains the leading cause of death by disease among children. The Swedish Childhood Cancer Fund is the largest financier of childhood cancer research in Sweden. To save more children’s lives and ensure treatments become harsher on cancer but gentler on the children, more research and innovation are needed.
